Community & Industry Involvement

Ever since our founding in 1977, our firm has made community and industry involvement one of our top priorities. We have supported a significant number of causes over the years, and many of our attorneys and professionals play active roles in a variety of important local and national organizations. Here are some examples of our efforts:

>> The "I Have A Dream" Foundation – The Miami chapter of this important national organization will be hosting its annual gala dinner at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach on Nov. 8, and the firm’s Tiffany Hurwitz, Ivette Machado, Lindsey Pressner, Nicholas Siegfried, Helene Brown and Michael Clark are playing important roles in the event as members of the organizing committee. The organization works to ensure that all children have the opportunity to pursue higher education by providing children in low-income communities with guaranteed tuition support and equipping them with the skills, knowledge and habits that they will need to succeed in college and beyond. To sponsor the event, contribute a silent auction item or attend, contact the firm’s Lindsey Pressner at lpressner@siegfriedlaw.com or call her at (305) 442-8536.

>> The 20th Annual Huntington’s Disease Triathlon – The firm has served as a sponsor for this annual event for years, and we are continuing our commitment by sponsoring the 2011 edition taking place on Sunday, July 31, at the Miami Marine Stadium in Key Biscayne. Visit http://www.huntingtonsdiseasefl.org/ to learn more about sponsorship and volunteer opportunities or to participate in the event, which offers a fun day of racing benefitting research to find a cure for Huntington’s.

>> BASF’s 5th Annual Havana Night – The firm is proud to serve as a sponsor of the premier annual event of the Builders Association of South Florida, which is taking place at the Grove Isle Hotel on August 6 and will feature a silent auction benefitting the Children’s Cancer Caring Center. Visit http://www.basfonline.org/ to learn more.

>> 2nd Annual Comedy Night Kick Off for Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's Take Steps Fundraiser – The firm served as a "Comic Relief Sponsor" for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's 2nd annual "Comedy Night," which marks the start of the Fort Lauderdale edition of Take Steps, the CCFA's largest annual fundraising event. The kick-off event on Feb. 16, 2011 at the Improv Comedy Club at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood featured hilarious comedians and fantastic raffle prizes. All of the proceeds from the event benefitted the foundation, which focuses on funding research to find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
